InfraStructure Engineer
Job Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless
connectivity, security, and performance of our network, services, and security components.
Key Responsibilities:
● Providing technical support to users and serving as the initial point of contact for
problem resolution.
● Facilitating users' onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions.
● Monitoring and maintaining clients and servers’ infrastructure.
● Installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting antivirus/endpoint security
solutions on end-user devices and servers, including ensuring protection status, policy
compliance, and remediation of security alerts.
● Installing and configuring computer hardware, networks, printers, and scanners.
● Installing operating systems, application software, and security controls on all end-user
computing devices, including device encryption.
● Managing user accounts and access controls.
● Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with computer systems.
● Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for
knowledge sharing and reference.
● Respond promptly to service issues and requests, providing support via various
channels, including face-to-face, phone, or remote desktop software.
● Prioritize and manage multiple open cases simultaneously, ensuring timely resolution.
● Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in systems administration
to contribute effectively to team efforts.
● Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance activities for
critical cases.
Qualifications and Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
● 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role, with hands-on
experience in designing, implementing, and managing systems infrastructure.
● Hands-on knowledge and experience with antivirus and endpoint security solutions is
mandatory.
● Knowledge of servers operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix).
● Experience with system performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization techniques.
● Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments.
● Relevant certifications such as MCSE or equivalent are a plus.
Soft Skills:
● Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying technical information to non-
technical stakeholders.
● Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and concepts.
Technical Skills:
● Knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, virtualization platforms, and storage
solutions.
● Hands-on knowledge of antivirus/endpoint security solutions is mandatory.
● Proficiency with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
● Familiarity with system performance monitoring and optimization tools.
● Understanding of system security best practices and controls.
● Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for system
administration tasks.
● Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
● Familiarity with Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware) is a plus.
